Mayer Brown tasked us to review the service provision and costs for their outsourced facilities service providers (Catering, Cleaning, M&E and Security). We were asked to look at Contract Deliverables, Performance, Financial and Supplier management, with a view to streamlining the functions whilst achieving cost reductions.

Having carried out an evaluation of each of the individual service lines, using defined processes, we identified several areas for delivery improvements. These included:

  • Revisions to working processes.

  • Realignment of scope deliverables in line with contract requirements.

  • The need for a combined management/performance structure to ensure contract deliverables are measured against a consistent structure.

Following the evaluation, we engaged with the senior managers of each individual service line to share our findings and agree an action plan for the way forward. This included:

  • Design and Implementation of a complete management system for all outsourced services.

  • Re-negotiation of all service provider contracts, producing combined cost savings and enhanced service delivery performance.
